The web-community MySpace has started taking down pictures of mothers nursing their children. It seems that they are citing their policy of no nudity or sexually explicit photos.
Um... anyone been on MySpace recently? It seems they have no problem with porn-starts posting pics with nothing but some stars over their "bits." There is no shortage of teen girls taking underwear shots in the bathroom mirror. I've reported dozens of images and never, ever, had one of them removed.
Yet a mother nursing her child is deemed offensive and pictures are being removed left and right.
A number of us feel that this is not acceptable.
Though I no longer have a child who nurses, I am a proud member of the militant breastfeeding cult. Join me in this virtual 'nurse-in.' If you have a MySpace account, post a picture (of yourself, or one of the many beautiful nursing icons created over they years) in your profile and
please pass this on and spread the word!
